Michael Crossland, Inspirational Speaker and Humanitarian
We all have a choice to reshape, remake, remould and redefine our future.
Live life to the fullest.
At the age of 11 months old, Michael was diagnosed with an incurable cancer in the central nervous system, neuroblastoma Stage 4.
The medical doctor told Michael’s mother there was a 96% he would die. His mother said, I don’t want to know the chance of my son dying, I want to know the chance of my son surviving. Like any parent, she chose to grab hold of the 4% hope.
Michael was then given an experimental drug called DTIC. Within one month, 20 out of 25 kids died. Within 3 months, 24 out of 25 kids passed away.
Michael's latest book, Everything Will Be OK: A Story of Hope, Love and Perspective.
“I am lucky because I have a mum with unwavering commitment. His mother had to go to death counselling each week.
Despite spending most of his childhood in and out of hospitals, Michael still managed to achieve many things in life. He represented Australia to play baseball in the United States and became one of the youngest leaders for a global bank at the age of 23.
Every time the world seems crumbling down on him, he managed to fight back with love, commitment and dedication.
